Passion for a Better Game
Baden Sports stands for the highest quality and continuous innovation in the development and production of balls of all kinds. Since 1979, the company has been setting standards and offering products that revolutionize the playing experience.
The origin of Baden lies with E.C. Schindler and his son Michael, who, as passionate athletes, pursued the goal of developing better sports balls. With a clear vision and tireless effort, they created balls of outstanding quality. This tradition continues to this day, consistently setting new standards.
Driven by the constant desire for improvement, Baden Sports made history in 1984 by becoming the first company to introduce a specialized women’s basketball in the NCAA. This innovative strength is evident in groundbreaking technologies for basketball, volleyball, soccer, American football, baseball, and softball. Particularly noteworthy are the Axe baseball and softball bats, which have redefined the game with their ergonomic design.
The products are created through intensive analysis and continuous optimization. Baden Sports does not aim for “me-too” products but rather for top-tier sports equipment that offers an almost perfect playing experience. The mission: to inspire and excite players!
Baden Sports in Europe
Since 2023, uhlsport GmbH has been the exclusive distributor of Baden Sports in Europe, providing European athletes with access to Baden’s high-quality and innovative products. This collaboration is reinforced by the partnership with the easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga, where Baden will become the official ball partner of the league starting in the 24/25 season.
A German Name
During his journey in search of new inspiration for his further career, the already very successful engineer E.C. Schindler traveled to Germany, the land of his ancestors. In Baden-Baden, the idea of designing and producing the world’s best sports balls was born, along with the name for his brand. Thus, Baden is pronounced in German as [ˈbaːdn̩], not in English as [ˈbeɪ̯dn̩].
