Tested materials and clear substance requirements

Our products are tested for defined restricted substances and chemicals according
to the relevant product category and established testing plans. We take into account
our Restricted Substances List (RSL) and the requirements of the European chemicals
regulation REACH that apply to our products.

Our quality assurance processes are designed to identify potential deviations at
an early stage and reduce defective goods, quality-related returns, additional
transport and avoidable disposal. Products that can no longer be sold through
regular channels but are free from defects are donated whenever suitable
opportunities are available.

Functionality and quality

Our goal is to offer athletes the optimal functionality. Therefore, we follow a strict quality management with the latest technology and subject all textiles products to mechanical and chemical tests.

For textiles, we test the so-called bursting strength (= tear resistance) as well as the color fastness of the articles in addition to the washing behavior and the friction resistance. Fiber by fiber, we look at all the details and optimise the material selection and processing of our range. Our products are declared in accordance with the Textile Labeling Act and meet all safety requirements of the Product Safety Act.

For our hard goods, we test the different items for perfect performance, their durability and the non-use of hazardous substances. Only the best product can uncompromisingly support the athletes and help them to achieve their best performance.

Consistent social standards in the supply chain

Defined requirements for product quality,
materials and social standards guide the
development of our products and our cooperation with
production partners.

We require the production partners covered by our supplier programme to comply
with defined labour and social requirements.

As a member of

we use the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct as a framework for our social due diligence
processes. It includes requirements relating to occupational health and safety,
working hours, remuneration and decent working conditions, as well as the
prohibition of child labour, forced labour and discrimination.

uhlsport GmbH also participates in the

International Accord for Health and Safety in the Garment and Textile Industry
.
This legally binding agreement between companies and trade unions aims to improve
occupational health and safety in the textile and garment industry.

Its

Bangladesh Safety Agreement

includes independent safety inspections, remediation measures, training programmes
and a complaints mechanism for workers.

Accord is an independent, legally binding agreement between brands and trade unions to work towards a safe and healthy garment industry in Bangladesh. We want to create a working environment where no worker need be afraid of fire, building collapse or other accidents and hazards that can be prevented with appropriate health and safety measures.
