Kempa and Four Motors: Collaboration on Textiles and Material Use

Kempa collaborates with the Four Motors racing team on the development and testing of teamwear. The focus is on the use of specifically identified materials, the requirements of motorsport and the team’s practical experience.

According to its own statements, Four Motors has been testing alternative technologies and materials in motorsport since 2003 and works with partners from various industries for this purpose. The materials and technologies used are specified separately for each project.

As part of the collaboration, Kempa provides the Four Motors team with teamwear for use outside the pit area. Since 2025, selected products and materials have been used, with their composition and properties documented in the relevant product information.

“Through our partnership with Four Motors, we are working with a regionally rooted team that tests new technologies and materials under motorsport conditions. As part of the collaboration, Kempa provides the team with teamwear for use outside the pit area and draws on its practical experience for professional exchange on product development,” says Dirk Lehner, CEO of uhlsport GmbH.

„The collaboration with Four Motors gives us the opportunity to examine materials and products under the specific demands of motorsport. The exchange with Thomas von Löwis and his team provides us with practical insights that we can incorporate into the further development of our teamwear,” says Melanie Steinhilber, Director Markets at uhlsport GmbH and member of the executive board.

“In addition to technical innovations in the Bioconcept Car, we also want to explore the materials used in our teamwear. In Kempa, we have found a partner from Baden-Württemberg. Selected products use organic cotton or recycled polyester; the specific material composition is stated in the relevant product information,” says Tom von Löwis, Managing Director of Four Motors.
